How we compare
The rules every comparison follows
- 01
Every statement is sourced
What we say about another product links to the page it comes from — its own site, or a listing site, labelled as such.
- 02
Every statement is dated
Each one shows the day we looked. Products change; a date lets you judge how fresh a line is.
- 03
No restated prices
Prices change most often, so we link to each vendor's pricing page instead of copying numbers that go stale.
FAQ
Straight answers
How do you choose which tools to compare?
Tools that come up when creators look for a link-in-bio page or a way out of in-app browsers. A comparison page needs enough sourced statements to say something useful; a tool we couldn't source well enough doesn't get one yet.
Do you test the other tools?
Not on devices, so far. The comparisons describe what each product says about itself. The escape-tools guide explains how to test any tool, ours included, on your own phones in a few minutes.
Is OpenOut always the better choice?
No. Each comparison lists cases where the other product may fit better — for example if you need your own domain, which OpenOut doesn't support.
