Comparison
A link in bio that does
more than list links.
Most link-in-bio tools solve the same problem the same way: show a list, count the clicks. OpenOut adds the step they all skip — getting the visitor out of the in-app browser that's about to break your checkout.

First, the honest part
Classic link-in-bio tools are good at what they do
They're mature, reliable, and if all you need is a tidy page of links they'll serve you well. This page isn't an argument that they're bad — it's an argument about one specific thing none of them handle.
That thing is the browsing context your visitors arrive in. Social traffic doesn't land in Safari or Chrome; it lands in a webview owned by the app they tapped from. Sessions don't carry over, password managers can't run, wallet payments are frequently unavailable, and downloads often fail without an error. A link list has no answer for any of it — and it never shows up in the analytics, so it reads as a weak offer instead.

What changes when you switch
The rows below compare the category rather than one named product's current plan tiers — competitor feature sets change, and a comparison table that quietly goes stale is worse than no table at all.

The difference
A list of links versus a routing layer
A link list
Displays destinations
- Renders the same page for every visitor
- No awareness of the browsing context
- No fallback when a platform blocks the hand-off
- Analytics stop at the click
OpenOut
Chooses a route, then proves it
- Detects TikTok and Instagram webviews specifically
- Routes by device and app, with a guaranteed web fallback
- One-tap copy flow whenever automatic hand-off isn't possible
- Tracks the full funnel: shown, attempted, copied, confirmed, dismissed
Be honest with yourself
When switching is actually worth it
If your bio link points at a blog post and nothing more, a plain link list is fine and you should keep it. Three situations change the maths:
- 01
Your traffic is mostly social
If people reach you from a TikTok or Instagram bio, nearly all of them arrive inside an in-app browser. That's the entire population a breakout flow affects — for you, it isn't an edge case.
- 02
You sell, book or gate something
Checkout, sign-up, age verification and downloads are exactly the flows a webview breaks. If your link ends in a transaction, the losses are direct.
- 03
Your clicks don't match your conversions
A healthy click-through rate with a weak conversion rate is the signature of visitors who reached the page but never reached a working browser.
FAQ
Straight answers
What is the main difference between OpenOut and a classic link-in-bio tool?
Classic tools display links. OpenOut adds a routing layer: it detects whether a visitor is inside a restricted in-app browser, attempts the platform-supported hand-off into their real browser, and falls back to a one-tap copy-link flow when that isn't possible — then records each stage as an analytics event.
Can I move my existing links over?
Yes. A bio link page is a list of destinations and labels, so moving is a matter of recreating them — there's no export format to wrangle or data to migrate. Most pages take a few minutes.
Will my old link keep working after I switch?
That depends on your previous provider, not on us. The safe sequence is to publish your OpenOut page first, update the link in each of your social profiles, and only then close the old account.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — free forever, no credit card, with one page, up to 3 links and basic analytics. You can build and publish a page before deciding whether the paid features are worth it.
Does the breakout engine work on every device?
The detection works everywhere. The automatic hand-off doesn't — it depends on the platform, OS version and current webview behaviour, and we won't claim otherwise. Where it isn't possible, the guided copy-link flow takes over, and that path works on every device.
Why isn't there a price comparison on this page?
Because competitor pricing changes and a stale comparison is worse than none. Our current prices are on the pricing page; theirs are on theirs.

The link-in-bio metrics that actually matter
Total clicks is a vanity metric. These six numbers tell you where visitors drop off, which links earn their place, and how much traffic never reaches a working browser.
